As of December 2, 2020, the St-Ursanne - Les Rangiers International Hill Climb was certified as a 'One-Star' event by the FIA's 'Environment and Sustainable Development' Commission responsible for environmental actions within the framework of the FIA's environmental accreditation program. This recognition is the result of the work undertaken by Jean-Marc Comment between 2016 and 2019 to raise awareness within the committee about environmental protection. The actions taken focus on the following areas:

1. promotion
2. ethics and social
3. noise
4. food
5. nature and landscape
6. energy and infrastructure
7. traffic and transportation
8. waste and littering
9. generalities

The St-Ursanne - Les Rangiers International Hill Climb is the only hill climb event, at the FIA level, to receive this distinction.

The committee warmly thanks Jean-Marc Comment for his involvement in obtaining this recognition and for raising awareness within the committee about environmental issues.

A new evaluation by the FIA Commission will take place in November 2022.
