The 2024 edition of the legendary International Hill Climb Race St-Ursanne-Les Rangiers was a success, both in terms of sports and public interest. This week, the Jura Association for Supporting Families of Children with Cancer (AJAFEC) received a cheque for 1500 francs thanks to a specially organized auction.
The organizing committee is delighted to share this good news: AJAFEC received 1500 francs on Monday, November 19, 2024, from the sale of the roll-up (retractable poster) of the 79th edition of the event. The item was signed by all the drivers. The president of AJAFEC, Sabine Rérat, is thrilled: "We are grateful for this gesture of solidarity and support. It strengthens our commitment to families affected by their child's cancer."
The auction took place on social networks (Facebook and Instagram). Within a few hours, a significant sum was offered by a person who wishes to remain anonymous and is not from the Canton of Jura. The central committee also decided to make a gesture for this cause close to their hearts. The president, Jean-Claude Salomon, is deeply moved: "The amazed faces of these children always fascinate me. They had a lot of fun meeting the drivers and being close to their cars. Their smiles will remain etched in the annals of our 79th edition." The ASA committee will likely repeat such an initiative for a non-profit organization in future editions.
